KSVS IS A DIFFERENCE-MAKER IN KAMWENGE
KSVS offers a Christ-centered education to poor families living in southwest Uganda. Since 2007, KSVS has grown from a small school with 3 classrooms into a thriving campus with pre-school, primary, secondary, and vocational classes. KSVS reaches adults in the community as well, improving their farming techniques and vocational training.
KSVS has been experimenting with growing coffee and cacao trees, and mushrooms. Coffee is now a viable crop that women from the local community harvest for sale.
The Carpentry and Metal Fabricating Shop offers classes with teachers and machinery capable of teaching advanced skills and producing furniture for sale.
New vocational classes include auto repair and hair styling.
This year, KSVS opened a 6-month vocational program serving Congolese refugees from a nearby refugee camp.
